Nigeria: Kwankwaso, Audu, Lawal, lose seats

Governors Abubakar Audu and Mohammed Lawal of Kogi and Kwara states, respectively, have lost their bids for second terms in office.

Similarly, five of the six Alliance for Democracy (AD) governors in the South-West geopolitical zone of the country have lost their second term bids. These are Governors Olusegun Osoba (Ogun State), Lam Adesina (Oyo State), Bisi Akande (Osun State) and Niyi Adebayo of Ekiti State.
