Nigeria: Turaki Soars in Jigawa

Dutse — Governor Saminu Turaki of Jigawa State was re-elected for another term in the last Saturday's gubernatorial election.

Announcing the results of the election in Dutse, Sunday, the INEC Commissioner in charge of Jigawa State, Prof. Titus Eze gave the breakdown of the results as: Governor Turaki, who contested under the platform of ANPP scored 816,385 votes, while Senator Mohammed Alkali of PDP scored 265,494 votes.
