Kampala — Subscribers on MTN can now receive free SMS notification about all missed calls while their phones where not accessible.

The service dubbed 'Who called?' is a new service available to all MTN mobile customers.

According to Phillip Besiimire, MTN's public relations manager, the missed call notification will send the customer a short message (SMS) detailing telephone numbers of all callers who had attempted to ring the customer when his phone was not accessible.

Customers many not be reachable if their phones are switched off, absence of network or one being too busy to take any calls.

To activate the service, the customer will have to divert calls meeting any of the above situations, to the short code 190. Mr Besiimire explained that it is also possible for a customer to direct the system to send the missed call notifications (SMS), to another number other than their own.

Customers can contact customer services on 123 for further clarification," added Mr Besiimire.
