Japan will play Nigeria in Tokyo on August 20, the Japan Football Association (JFA) said yesterday.
The Asian champions, who went out of the Confederations Cup in France at the weekend, had been set to play Nigeria on June 11 but the Nigerian government prevented the team from travelling because of fears over the flu-like SARS virus.
Paraguay replaced Nigeria for the Kirin Cup fixture, holding Japan to a goalless draw in Saitama.
Nigeria, meanwhile, played a home friendly against Brazil instead, losing 3-0 to the 2002 World Cup winners.
