Nigeria: Obasanjo re-presents Borisade As Ministerial Nominee

President Olusegun Obasanjo has re-presented former education minister, Professor Babalola Borisade, for confirmation before the Senate which had earlier, through a vote of 65 to 28, rejected the nomination of the former minister as a ministerial candidates, citing his performance as a former minister and his poor relations with the National Assembly as responsible for his rejection.

But the Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly matters, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, confirmed yesterday in Abuja, that Professor Borisade's nomination had been re-presented to the Senate for confirmation by the president.
