Nigeria: Court Order Unconstitutional - Rep

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Lawan (ANPP) representing Bade/Jakusko federal constituency of Yobe state has said that the recent court order which restrained Governor Chris Ngige from parading himself as the Anambra state governor was a clear violation of the constitution.

Dr. Lawan who spoke to Daily Trust yesterday at the National Assembly noted that removal of a governor by his deputy was a constitutional matter just like the removal of the president, and cited section 188 and 189 of the constitution to buttress his point."
