Kenya: State Promises to Hire More Nurses

Nairobi — A severe shortage of nurses and other personnel is the cause of poor services at public health institutions.

The country needs 2,000 more nurses, Dr Richard Muga, the director of medical services, said yesterday. He told the Nation in an interview that the Government would recruit more nurses in the current financial year to improve the services.
