Nairobi — Mr Michael Wamalwa reassures the nation that he is "on the road to
recovery". Kenyans may have heaved a sigh of relief to hear this because he
is not only one of them but also - much more emotive than that - he is their
Vice-President.
The relief comes from the fact Mr Wamalwa has been under medical
treatment many thousands of miles away from home. And yet nobody has
hitherto deemed it fit to tell Kenyans exactly what is the matter. What is
ailing our Vice-President? What kind of treatment is he getting?
