Nigeria: I Meant to Save Ngige, Ige Tells Senate Panel

Awka — SENATE committee investigating the July 10 abduction of Anambra State Governor, Dr. Chris Ngige, yesterday in Awka grilled compulsorily retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Mr. Raphael Ige, over his role in the saga.

At a stage during the investigation, a member of the committee and former Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Nuhu Aliyu, under whom Ige had served, wept while lamenting the sort of personnel in the Force nowadays.
