GERMAN technical director Guenter Zittel is organising an anti-witchcraft seminar for Ugandan football coaches.

The Juju sensitisation seminar for Ugandan football coaches of all levels will be held next month, according to the German director who is targeting the start of the Cranes launch of their African Cup of Nations and 2006 World Cup bids in October.

Zittel aims to help Uganda's chances by focusing on proven world soccer tactics and not belief in super natural powers and charms.

Zittel is currently negotiating the plan with National Council of Sports.

"I realised there was need to teach coaches at all levels about tactics and soccer strategy. It is sad Cranes gave away the Nations Cup campaign to Rwanda," Zittel said, in reference to the game Uganda lost 1-0 at home against Rwanda after a fight over juju.

In an exclusive interview, he said that as a technical director on football he was saddened by Uganda's failure to make it to Tunisia 2004.

At the same time Zittel said he was inspired to sensitise the tacticians when the Cranes "gave away" their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole last June.

Uganda lost 1-0 in a foul-tempered encounter that was characterised by running battles between Cranes and Amavubi players over witchcraft claims.

The Nile Special Super League encounters are turning from being abandoned to not taking place.

Yesterday's two encounters in Masaka and Nakivubo did not start, while today's encounter at Nakivubo may also suffer the same fate with a high probability of relegated Mbarara not turning up.

Express and Top TV all appeared for their encounter at Nakivubo and even went out of the dressing rooms but the poor state of the Nakivubo forced the referee to declare the pitch unplayable.

This is Express' second match to be called off after a heavy downpour. The first was against URA at Wankulukuku and has been re-fixed for September 1.

At Masaka Recreation ground, relegated Game Boys failed to travel for their second last NSSL soccer match against Masaka .

After waiting for over an hour, referee Paul Mayinja called off the match, leaving the matter to the League Committee. Game Boys last match is on Sunday against Simba.
