Uganda: Denmark Aids Kabarole PWDs

Kampala — Uganda and Denmark have given Kabarole district items worth sh40m for school-going children with disabilities.

The items include: 10 braille machines, 10 Braille kits, 10 wheel chairs and 22 sign language manuals.

One blind child at Canon Apollo school also got a white stick.

The district speaker, Mary Nyakwera Baguma, handed over the items to the beneficiaries at the Teachers Resource Centre, Mucwa, in Fort Portal recently.

An 11-year-old crippled boy, Januariyo Isingoma of Gweri Primary School, and Johnson Byabasaija, 30, were among the beneficiaries.

Baguma said what Denmark had done was a challenge to other local governments.
