The 11th session of Angola/Cuba bilateral commission closes Thursday, in Luanda, with the signing of an agreement on plants protection and other related to the conditions of arrival of Cuban technicians to the country.
There is also the possibility of getting signed an action plan in the sector of civil engineering and roads repairing.
At the opening ceremony, held on Monday, Angola's Social Welfare Minister Joao Baptista Kussumua, considered that the current state of cooperation ties between Angola and Cuba is positioned under the real capacities and potentialities of both countries.
The 11th session of the Bilateral Commission will, according to Minister Kussumua, enhance the definition of guidance for the cooperation between Angola and Cuba, thus elaborating an advantageous programme for both Government, to be carried out within 2003-2005 period.
In this period, the business-related and trading cooperation should be encouraged, as well as to strengthen the historical and friendship relations.
The Angolan delegation, led by Minister Baptista Kussumua, integrates the vice-minister of education, Mr Pinda Simao, apart from other technicians. The Cuban mission, headed by its Education Minister for Higher Teaching, Mr Fernando Vecino Alegret, is integrated by the deputy-minister for Foreign Investment, Mr Eduardo Santos Canalejo, and experts from that Latin America State's various ministries.
The bilateral relations between Angola and Cuba were established, formally, in July 29th, 1976.
