Uganda: Karuma Dam Gets Go-Ahead, Norwegians Ask Govt to Co-Invest

Kampala — Government has given a green light to Norpak to develop a power station at Karuma falls.

The hydropower project, which stalled in 1999, could generate an extra 100 megawatts for Uganda by 2008, officials of the Norwegian firm have said.
