Nigeria: Atiku to Present NIS Award to Indomie

THE Vice-President Alhaji Abubakar Atiku will today, October 14, 2003, present Indomie Noodles with the prestigious Nigeria Industrial Standard Award to mark this year's World Standard Day celebration. The award which is in recognition of Indomie's consistency in quality products in the Nigerian market will be presented at a reception organised by Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) at the Hotel Eko L'Meridien, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to a reliable source at Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) the regulatory body, Indomie is one of the six companies in Nigeria that will receive the award. "The award is based on consistency in the quality of their various products in the Nigerian market," said the source, adding that "as one of the regulatory bodies in Nigeria, Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) is ready and determined to maintain standard in products quality control and these companies have distinguished themselves in terms of the laid down regulations of the organisation".
