Mongu — OVER K1 million has been raised by the business houses for water installation at Mongu mortuary.
This was done during a live concert where the No Parking Band from Lusaka performed at Mongu Recreation Club over the weekend.
Mongu mortuary has no water and relatives of the dead have to carry their own water to use for washing bodies of their deceased relatives.
The business houses include, among others, Oasis Restaurant that donated K500,000 while 'Club M' night club and Mongu Recreation Club donated K100,000 each.
And Club M proprietor Musilizo Ikafa has since appealed to other business houses and individuals to donate generously towards the mortuary because everyone is affected by the water problem.
