Uganda: Cholera Kills 2 in Arua

Kampala — A CHOLERA epidemic has hit two Sudanese refugee camps in Arua district, killing two.

A report from the office of the Prime Minster in the district said at least 30 cases of cholera had been registered at Madi-Okollo and Rhino refugee camps.

"The office of the Director Health of Services is doing everything it can to avert the situation," the report said.

Sources said Nebbi district officials had refused to admit cholera patients.

The office of the Prime Minister has embarked on forcing cleanliness as a way to fight the disease.
