Abuja — Gwendolyn O'Neil Guyana the opponent of Lilia Ali in the Battle of Hope fight scheduled for Saturday yesterday arrived the country with her team.
In a telephone chat with THISDAYSports, the Chief Press Secretary to the Founder of Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCELF), Mr. Josiah Emerule said Ashanti Band Boys had arrived on Sunday and were already in Abuja.
He disclosed that Ashanti, Lilia Ali and Jarmine Jackson are expected to arrive the country 'today or tomorrow latest'.
The Battle of Hope fight is part of the national awareness creation drive, which is to intensify and synergies efforts of groups; agencies and NGOs to form a harmonious national strike force to tackle the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
The fight would also be used to raise funds from both local and international donor agencies, which would enable the building of local advocacy groups.
