Freetown — Armed robbers are causing many to pass sleepless nights in the city of Freetown.
A man called Sheka Bangura a resident of Low-Cost Housing Kissy East of Freetown reported to police that on 25/4/04 at in Freetown, he was attacked by five unknown men, during which they successfully stole his car tape, motor battery, one base ball T-Shirt and Samsung Mobile Phone.
Fake landowner swindles $700 The scramble for land in Freetwon is very great because of the attitude of house owners and many have fallen into the hands of swindlers.
A woman called Yemeh Mansaray of 24 Bai Bureh Road, Kissy reported to police that on 28th November 2003 she gave the sum of Seven Hundred United States Dollars ($700) to Dauda of Malama in the western outskirt of Freetown. Dauda pretended that he had a piece of land at Malama for sale. It turned out to be false.
