Nigeria: Politician Decries Insecurity in Aviation Industry

Lagos — A member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Prince Ben Chijioke Nnaji has decried the level of insecurity, saying except something is urgently done to arrest the situation, the dream of having foreign investors would remain a mirage.

Lamenting his experience with the Sudan Airlines recently, Nnaji was of the view that only a few airlines in the country could boast of sound security checks on the goods of their passengers as majority of them have opened their doors to insecurity for what he described as lack of "sense of security".

Continuing, Nnaji, who returned from abroad recently on a business trip where he had gone to bring in some mobile phones, alleged that goods worth of over N850,000.00 were stolen from the Sudanase airline he patronised.

Nnaji who swore never to have anything with the airline anymore said the unfortunate thing about the experience was that the management of the airline claimed to be helpless over a case he said smacked of conspiracy with the management of the airline.
