He said that, the present leadership of the command would not condone any act of extortion and corruption capable of affecting the image of the police in the country.

Alhaji Abubakar added that, "by staying away from corruption and extortion while on duty, would go a long way in having a good image before the public they are serving."

He said what should be paramount on their minds is how to intensify efforts at preventing crime and make sure that whenever crime is committed, necessary arrest should be effected immediately."

Abubakar said that, "my mission in Osun State is to maintain peace and security and would not allow any miscreant, hoodlum or armed robber to use the state as an abode."

"Let me sound it loud and clear that, my main focus is on peace and security and I'm working men of the command to be up and doing in order to ensure that the peace if the state is not threatened by miscreants especially those that might want to infiltrate the state from other neighbouring states."

He then enjoined his men to imbibe the spirit of team work in order to achieve the objective.
