Luanda — The Heads of State of Angola and Cape-Verde, Jose Eduardo dos Santos and Pedro Pires, respectively, have analysed on Sunday, in Praia city, Cape Verde, the situation within Africa, the action of the African Union and the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) in the current international conjuncture.
According to the Angolan President, who was speaking at a dinner offered by Pedro Pires, on the occasion of the official visit that he started on the same day to the Archipelago of Cape-Verde, the two Statesmen concluded to be necessary to continue to develop efforts to preserve the peace, promote the justice and the uniformity in the international economic relations, condemning terrorism and all means of human discrimination and oppression.
Mr dos Santos referred also that both presidents have decided to aid the action of the international community, tending to eradicate poverty and control of endemic and pandemic diseases such as HIV/AIDS.
The Angolan Leader, expressed once again the gratitude to the Republic of Cape-Verde, for the aid it provided to Angola in the difficult years of armed confict.
On his visit to the West African Archipelago, the Angolan President is being accompanied by his Wife the First Lady, Ana Paula dos Santos, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, João Miranda, Public Works, Higino Carneiro, Transports, Andre Luís Brandão, the vice-minister of Finance, Job Graça, as well as some of his advisers.
