Lagos — Chairman/Executive Officer of US oil major ExxonMobil Corporation, Mr. Lee Raymond is on a visit to Nigeria as part of his first official visit to ExxonMobil's African subsidiaries.
A statement from the company yesterday said Raymond will be meeting with with President Olusegun Obasanjo. He will also meet with Nigerian oil industry chieftains.
ExxonMobil is Nigerias second biggest crude oil producer, accounting for more than 700,000 barrels per day (bpd) of the country's 2.5 million bpd output.
Meanwhile, the former chairman/managing director, Mobil Producing Nigeria and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited, Mr. Mike Fry, had been appointed the Vice President, Middle East for ExxonMobil Development Company.
