Nigeria: Niger Delta Vigilante Leader Turns in Armoury

Port Harcourt — Dreaded leader of Niger Delta Vigilante Group, Mr. Ateke Tom, yesterday voluntarily surendered his armoury to the Rivers State Government in compliance with the directives of govenment that all those in possession of illegal firearms should surrender them and in turn be granted amnesty.

The armoury surendered to the Chairman of Okrika Local government Council, Mr. Idiba Walter comprises 37 guns, 20 dynamites, 188 live ammunitizer, 155 catridges, one matchet and one mystic stick which the owner claims makes him invisible to his opponents and also serves as bullet proof.
