Kampala — Uganda's opponents in the CAR super ten rugby tournament Madagascar arrived in the country on Monday night. The 21 players and four officials jetted in aboard a Kenya Airways flight.

The two sides face off on Saturday at the Kampala Rugby Football Club, Lugogo. They are accommodated at Sports View Hotel. The two sides will be meeting for the second time, after Madagascar won 32-20 at the Antananarivo stadium last year.

According to Uganda's Coach Yayiro Kasasa, they will use the remaining days for planning purposes. " It will not be a revenge but a focus to control our own destiny in this year's competition," he added. The Cranes will be out to maintain a clean unbeaten home record in top flight rugby.

The CAR top 10 will also be used for qualification for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Uganda Cranes have never qualified for the World Cup. Captain Peter Magona and his team will be expected to make a good start to the campaign ahead of tougher ties. Uganda is pooled along side Kenya and Madagascar in the early stages.

A victory at home will put them in a strong position to host the semi final and the final matches. Bell Lager, Kenya Airways, UTL-Mango, Coca-Cola and Agman Era will sponsor the game.
