Nigeria: Mrs Tinubu Stresses Child Birth Registration Need

Lagos — The wife of the Governor of Lagos State, Chief (Mrs) Oluremi Tinubu, has stressed the need for accurate Child Birth Registration as a vital tool in the collation of data and information necessary for development planning and implementation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of a one-day sensitisation workshop on increasing birth registration in Lagos State held at Women Development Centre, Agege, Mrs Tinubu said child birth registration is the first step which accords the newly born child its legal identity.
