Sierra Leone: Celtel Joins the Internet World

Freetown — CELTEL, Sierra Leone's cellular phone company with the widest coverage and modern facilities, Friday launched its new web site www.sl.celet.com.

Bernard Sesay, Marketing Manager of CELTEL says the web site was technically launched two weeks back but that it was made official Friday.

Sesay says further that the objective is to provide an interface between CELTEL and her numerous customers both at home and abroad.

The Marketing Manager states that the web would also serve as a useful tool to display the facilities provided by the company so that would be customers from afar would have access to information needed to CELTEL's operations.

Information found on the web pages is for all categories of customers and the services available including tariffs.

Sesay, while answering to questions from the press, intimated that the company is constantly looking at ways to reduce tariffs but acknowledged that one thing that is hitting.
