Kampala — STATE minister for finance Mwesigwa Rukutana has sued the Central Purchasing Corporation seeking recovery of about sh100m which he lost in an alleged fraudulent car sale.
Rukutana wants court to order the company to award him damages for breach of contract, interests and costs of the suit.
He said in 2000, he bought a Land Cruiser Prado vehicle number UAA 951S from Central Purchasing Corporation, but failed to use it upon expiry of its road license.
The complainant alleges that the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) rejected to renew his vehicle's road license on claims that its registration card was forged.
