Kenya: Horizon: Another Malaria Drug Comes from an Ancient Herb

Nairobi — The use of two or several active substances to fight disease causing organisms is emerging as a standard way of either delaying or preventing the building of resistance against drugs.

This has been applied successfully in treating tuberculosis, HIV and now progressively in malaria. The World Health Organisation and most governments in malaria endemic areas including Kenya have already adopted this new policy.
