30 November 2004

Caxito — The new governor of the northern Bengo Province, Jorge Inocencio Dombolo, has outlined as his government's priority investments in the sectors of education, health, employment plus electric energy, aiming at enabling a rapid local development.

Addressing the press, he explained that Caxito town, the capital of Bengo Province, faces a weak development in the socio-economic and productive sectors.

He said the current situation can be overcome through the cooperation of all with the local government for the population's well-being.

"It will be my main task to make Caxito a nornal city, such as other provincial capitals of the country".

Commenting on electric energy, he said Caxito may benefit from electricity from Capanda electric dam, located in the northern Malanje Province, as from next year.

This will make easy national and foreign investment in the locality", underlined Jorge Inocencio Dombolo.
