Police Enforces Ban On Warlike Materials A Liberia National Police press release issued recently, says the LNP's attention has been to several unscrupulous business entities that have imported huge quantities of assorted warlike items in the country (specifically fire crackers) in total violation of the law banning the importation of war-like materials since 1980.

"Considering the effects of war which rendered many of our citizens traumatized from the sounds of guns and explosives, we are urging everyone to desist from buying and selling these warlike items which are being used by criminals to cause havoc and thereby disturb the peace and tranquility during this festive season", the LNP release iterated.

"The LNP is therefore warning importers of these war-like items to put a complete halt to the sales henceforth.

"Be further warned that anyone found selling these war-like items or using them will be arrested and prosecuted by the Ministry of Justice in accordance with the laws", the LNP release concluded.
