Angola: Government Rules Import of GM Organisms

Luanda — The Cabinet Council has established, through a decree, the rules to be observed for the correct control of importation, entry, use and eventual production of genetically modified organisms in the national territory.

The dispatch has just been published by State Gazette, and reads that prior to the embarkation of transgenetic or genetically modified grains, the importer should get a written permission from the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development for its introdution in the country.
