Luanda — The government has promulgated days ago the cooperation accord between the National Commission of Information Technologies (CNTI) and the Swiss company WISeKey, for the development of a infrastructural system allowing the government to have safe electronic communication for its daily activities.
This agreement sets the grounds for the undertaking of a number of tasks in pursuance of a CNTI programme for the society of information and security of information, as indicates the recent issue of the State Gazette, made available to Angop in Luanda today.
These tasks include aspects such as the preparation of a seminar, in Luanda, on information society and matters related to security, the preparation of a legal audit to advise CNTI on the need to update the legislation on topics of security of information and implementation of a sustainable development project, through an on-line regional market based on the same technologies.
The parts had also agreed to develop a safe electronic market-place, at national and regional, based on a sustainable development model, as a way to promte the active participation of small and medium companies in the electronic trade.
According to the document, the agreement also foresees the development of a infrastructural system of a complete management of identity for Angola, to answer the needs of the public and private sectors for the management of identity cards, including passports, electronic personal birth IDs, and health cards.
The parts also agreed to develop insurance systems of electronic communication for the banking system and the Angolan banks.
