22 March 2005

Kampala — THE Government has urged the private sector to fight malaria through vector control, writes James Odomel and Herbert Sempogo.

This was said by health minister Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi during a seminar on Mosquiron 100 (Novaluron), a new treatment course for malaria at Speke Resort Munyonyo recently.

"We are emphasising indoor residual spraying and insecticide treated nets to control malaria," Muhwezi said in a speech read by health state health minister, Capt. Mike Mukula.

Mosquiron 100 is a new insect growth regulator for vector control against malaria.
