Nairobi — For the past 40 years, the US has been telling other countries how they should run their affairs. And whenever it felt that the local dictator wasn't sufficiently attentive, it sent a military expedition to sort him out, like it did with Panama's drug-dealing ruler Manuel Antonio Noriega in 1989. And lately, the invasion of Iraq, which ousted Saddam Hussein.
In return, the rest of the world complained about America trying to be the global policeman. It also got its revenge by laughing at Uncle Sam when, in the 2000 presidential elections, crude vote stealing took place in Florida.
