Pioneer Aluminium Factory (PAF) on Tuesday announced that it was collaborating with Butterfly Group of India (BGI) to introduce Butterfly brand stainless steel products onto the Ghanaian market.

A statement issued in Accra said among the initial products being introduced were water filters, pressure cookers and vacuum flasks.

"The initial collaboration is to test the market, after which PAF will be licensed to manufacture the Butterfly brand products in Ghana," the statement said. PAF is a leading provider of affordable hollowware products in Ghana and the West African market.

Its shares have traded on the Ghana Stock Exchange since August 1995. Mr. Edward Nimoh Boateng, Managing Director of PAF, noted that the collaboration with Butterfly was "a reflection of the new positive changes going on at PAF aimed at stepping up the company to a new level".

BGI is the first company in India to introduce stainless steel pressure cookers and vacuum flasks and manufactures a comprehensive range of home appliances, kitchen products and cookware.
