Kampala — THE African Development Bank has earmarked over sh2.1b to construct eight feeder roads in Kasese district.
Seven sub-counties are to benefit from the project, which is under the Area-based Agricultural Modernisation Programme, community development officer Ivan Walemba said on Wednesday.
He was addressing residents in villages to be affected by the road works.
Walemba said the sub-counties of Karambi, Munkunyu, Lake Katwe, Kyabarungira, Maliba, Mahango and Rukoki would be affected.
Engineer Thomas Kisembo urged residents to cooperate with contractors.
He asked the people to desist from "the common habit of vandalising the machinery."
