Bong County senatorial aspirant Lassana Sirleaf on April 30 visited Gbarnga and Jorqulleh Districts and made outstanding overtures.
He donated several assorted items to returnees, the local police, Gbarnga Radio Station and citizens.
The items include 100 bags of rice, tiger generators, flashlights and clerical materials.
Others are cassettes, dozens of pen, rims of sheets, and a pickup to transport citizens to and fro registration centers. Others are tape recorders, footballs and a set of jersey.
Making remarks during the presentation program in Gbarnga, the aspirant called on citizens to take advantage of the voters' registration.
During similar program at the Gbarnga Community Radio Station, Mr. Sirleaf thanked employees for their dedication to duty and encouraged them not to relent in informing citizens about the voter's registration. He promised to make more donations for the upkeep of the station.
Acting Station Manager Marcus Malayea thanked the senatorial aspirant for gesture, saying that he was the first to contribute to the station.
At the sub-police office, Mr. Sirleaf thanked the police force for the exemplary role they were playing in providing security protection for the citizens in the dew, rain and sun.
The commander of the local police force praised aspirant Sirleaf for identifying with the police.
In Forballah Town, Jorqulleh District where he met with citizens, he encouraged citizens to register so they will be able to vote. He also called on citizens of the county to reconcile their differences and live together as one.
