Malawi's Tubercolosis Rate Drops

Director for National TB Programme Dr Felix Salaniponi has said Malawi has registered a significant reduction in TB infection rate since 1994.

Speaking during a TB and HIV/AIDS research course at Cresta Crossroads hotel in Lilongwe on Monday Salaniponi said since 1984, there has been a 30 % increase of TB patients in Malawi while in 1994 the rate dropped to 27% and continued to drop in 2004.
