Johannesburg — THE elevation of Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka to the deputy presidency,
combined with President Thabo Mbeki's obvious desire to see a woman
president and the African National Congress's (ANC's) overall profemale
approach, suggest the strong possibility that SA will have a woman president
in the not-too-distant future.
The question now is not if, but when.
