Uganda: American Donates Medical Centre

Kampala — A NEW ray of hope has dawned on the lives and health of Ugandans, after the construction of an ultra-modern medical facility in Uganda, largely due to generosity of an American scientist.

The Wentz Medical Centre and Laboratory, a project of the African Renewal Ministries (ARM), has been funded by renowned microbiologist and immunologist Dr. Myron Wentz, through the US-based Children's Hunger Fund (CHF).

Addressing the press at Hotel Africana in Kampala on Wednesday, ARM president Pastor Peter Kasirivu said the construction of the sh300m facility started in January.

The facility is located in the city suburb of Ggaba in Makindye Division.

Kasirivu said the First Lady, Janet Museveni, will open the first phase of the two-block facility, comprising a clinic and a laboratory, on Saturday.
