Sudan Frees All Political Prisoners

Nairobi — The Sudanese government has released all its political prisoners, days before the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).

Khartoum has also lifted a state of emergence imposed in 1994 at the height of war with Sudan Peoples Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A).
