Somalia: Edna Takes Part in Question Time Johannesberg

Somaliland Foreign Minister Ms. Edna Aden Ismail, has taken part in BBC TV's premier programme Question Time, which was broadcast live from Johannesburg in South Africa on BBC One, on Thursday July 7.

The panel which coincided with the week of G-8 conference in Scotland, the Live 8 concert and the series of terrorist attacks, included Baroness Amos who is British cabinet Minister and former International Development Secretary, Zimbabwean opposition Leader Morgan TSVangiral, South African Political Commentator Moelestski Mbek and Anti-poverty campaigner Biana Jagger.

Ms. Edna highlighted the plight of Somaliland in the programme, which focused on some major issues facing Africa including poverty, debt relief, AIDS and the continent's cultural importance and influence.
