Cameroon: D2 Football : Invincible Milano Kumbo F.C

The Kumbo-based team remains unbeaten in five outings.

Round two of the North West football championship is underway with Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) and Milano Kumbo F.C topping pools A and B respectively. In effect; Milano Kumbo F.C. is the difference in the championship with their stated preparedness to emerge the most viable squad when curtains drop on the league. The club from Kumbo, Bui division is so far; the only unbeaten side in the championship after five outings with 15 points to show in pool B. Milano Kumbo F.C. failed to represent the North West at the National Interpools last year after losing to Yong Sports Academy at the Provincial finals. This time around, the team has a new look with a fighting spirit and sense of purpose. To hear its President, Shey Tobias "Milano Kumbo is still a dream team and the dream of the people of Bui and the North West". It employs a fine mix of old and new players such as EffeutKeng William alias Awilo, Ngoh Ndoke, team captain Atuma, Tarkang, Keeper Tchoutchoua Jean and Tebo Paul. Meanwhile, head coach, Sebastien Tatah is helping them turn full circle technically and tactically.

From the look of things on and off the pitch, Milano Kumbo F.C is no more the glamourous team that spectators knew last year. Shey Tobias and the Executive President, Justice Mbenkum Roland say it is now a modest and more committed squad with minimum or adequate expenditure that fetch maximum results. According to Shey Tobias "Milano Kumbo is no more a farm where players go for fortunes but a football team built to ensure victories on the pitch, satisfy supporters and give players a chance to shine" Milano Kumbo's preparedness to rise to expectation this football season was also demonstrated when they emerged unbeaten until elite football side, Fovu Baham humbled them at the 16th final of the National Challenge Cup.

Round two of the North West championship will end with six teams from pools A and B qualifying for the decisive Mini interpools tournament to produce the best for the Province. So far; YOSA tops Pool A ahead of Bali United, Boyo Stars, PWD Nkambe, Redemption F.C. and Ngoketunjia F.C. while Milano tops Pool B ahead of Kumbo Strikers, Mankon United, Njinikom Mt. Rangers and Abi Falls F.C.
