Angola: Luanda Governor Wants Greater Dialogue With Citizens

Luanda — The governor of Luanda province, Job Castelo Capapinha, extolled on Friday the importance of strengthening the dialogue with citizens, thus projecting a collective and participatory governance.

Mr Capapinha, who was speaking at the opening session of a meeting of the provincial government held in the municipal administration of Ingombota, spoke of the necessity of governed citizens and governors to discuss in the municipality, commune or ward the actions to be developed, harmonising the government programmes and the anxiety of the population.

It is hoped that the municipal and communal administrations, residents commissions and condominiums assemblies establish strong partnerships and define the primary objectives to be reached.

Mr Capapinha has also announced the holding yet this month of a meeting to analyse the re-launching of farming activity in the periphery of Luanda, with the municipal administrations of Viana and Cacuaco and to put in perspective the boosting of Viana industrial park.

He projects also the setting up of farms of Luanda government's employees, aimed at contributing to the betterment of food diet of the provincial government's workers.

The participants to the meeting discussed also issues concerning the stagnation of waste water at Marginal area, circulation of trucks in the urban zone and the distribution of vulnerable groups, such as newspapers vendors, hawkers, those who carry goods, beggars, amongst others.
