South Africa: MTN Puts $128m Into Mascom Wireless

Johannesburg — MTN is carrying out more rapid-fire acquisitions with a $128m investment in Mascom Wireless Botswana.

The group is buying an indirect interest of 44% in Mascom Wireless, the leading cellphone operator in Botswana with a market share of more than 70% and 440 000 subscribers.
