Africa: Information Technology On World Agenda This Week

A World Summit on Information Society, WSIS, the second of its kind, holds in Tunis from 16 - 18, November The summit will bring together about 12,000 political, business and civil society leaders as well as leading media organisations to bridge the digital divide and spread the benefits of the information society.

Holding at the Kram PalExpo in Tunis, the WSIS will take stock of the implementation of the agenda agreed to during the first summit held in Geneva in 2003, during which 175 countries participated.
