Zimbabwe: SRC Dithers Over Cricket Crisis

The Sports and Recreation Commission board met on Thursday in Harare to discuss the raging cricket conflict but the fact that a position was not taken on the matter - and no date set for a follow-up meeting - means the distress signal sent by the game's stakeholders could have been nothing but a cry-in-the-wilderness.

On Wednesday, Peter Chingoka's critics petitioned the SRC to suspend the longstanding ZC board chairman, reiterating earlier calls for his investigation over allegations of mismanagement but indications are no amount of protest will bring about an end to the increasingly exasperating, damaging stand-off.
