Nigeria: Galadima Beats Deadline, Submits Form

AS the deadline for the submission of forms to the exalted office of the Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association, NFA, closes today, fears that immediate past Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima may have opted out of the race was dashed when competent sources confirmed that the Kano politician submitted it late last night. Galadima kept football watchers guessing over his desire to contest the election without picking the form thereby sending the wrong signals that he may have changed gear from seeking a second term.

"Galadima submitted his form yesterday and attributed his lateness to the wide consultations he made", the source confirmed. Galadima's entry to the race has thus pushed the number of those in the race to six.
