Kampala — THE Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and the Uganda People's Congress (UPC) party stalwarts in Arua district have dominated the score of politicians who have picked nomination forms to contest in next year's parliamentary elections.

According to statistics released on Monday by the district Electoral Commission Registrar, Richard Balla, seven parliamentary aspirants had picked nomination forms, out of whom four are standing on the UPC ticket, two on the FDC ticket and one former NRM bigwig who is determined to stand as an independent.

Matata Bugah is to contest as an independent for the Arua municipality seat after losing to incumbent Saidi Okuti in the NRM primaries.

Terego County incumbent Kassiano Wadri picked on the FDC ticket to seek a second term. Madi Okollo incumbent John Arumadri (FDC) picked his forms from Kampala.

UPC has Alex Aleti (Vurra county), Adroa Buzu (Terego), Stanley Yiacia (Maracha) and Ja'afar Alekua.
