Lugogo — A MAKERERE University religious NGO implicated in the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) report for irregularly withdrawing Shs43.1 million from the Global Fund (GF), put up a spirited defence yesterday before the probe team investigating the mismanagement of the fund.
The audit report released in August last year accused Campus Alliance to Wipe out Aids (CAWA) of withdrawing Shs43.1 million in a space of three month which according to the GF financial accounting guidelines, was irregular.
